The 2024 Insurance Excellence Awards held its award ceremony in mid-October. Shin Kong Life Insurance, a subsidiary of Shin Kong Financial Holdings (2888), has long upheld the spirit of financial friendliness and honest operation, promoted fair treatment of customers, implemented inclusive finance, protected consumer rights, and continuously improved the accessibility of financial services. It won the "Excellent Digital Finance Award", "Excellent Claims Service Award" and "Excellent Social Welfare Award" three major awards. Shin Kong Life Insurance is an industry leader in implementing a multi-faceted digital identity verification mechanism. Last year, it pioneered the FIDO digital authentication service, allowing customers to verify their identity and conduct transactions using fingerprint or facial recognition. This year, it became the first insurance company in the industry to introduce NFC technology, allowing customers to quickly and securely verify their identity by simply tapping their chip-based debit card with their phone. Furthermore, Shin Kong Life Insurance has added voice guidance for pictogram verification codes for seniors, and adapted to the keyboard habits of the visually impaired, replacing manual login with the TAB and ENTER keys. This service is expected to benefit over 600,000 users annually, creating a barrier-free digital experience and earning recognition with the "Excellence in Digital Finance Award."


Shin Kong Life Insurance pioneered a comprehensive claims development and elite training program. Through a comprehensive system, it actively recruits outstanding claims professionals, providing them with professional experience to support policyholders through different stages of life, extending insurance beyond mere life protection. At the same time, Shin Kong Life Insurance continues to optimize its claims process, fully implementing AI to accelerate claims processing times (including the implementation of ID card optical character recognition (OCR) for mobile claims applications and the implementation of a claims business process management (BPM) system). By 2024, the company aims to achieve a 95.8% automation rate for claims processing. This innovative technology provides policyholders with a completely new service experience, earning it the "Excellent Claims Service Award."


To strengthen financial consumer protection, Shin Kong Life Insurance developed the "Wealth Keeper Board Game Course" and launched the "Travel Train Project." This innovative approach combines practical application with learning, allowing students to learn about possible fraud scenarios through the game, enhancing their risk awareness. Pre- and post-assessments are used to verify students' learning outcomes. The hope is that each teaching session will increase students' anti-fraud awareness by more than 50%, and that students will then pass on financial knowledge to their parents and elders at home, further strengthening society's understanding and application of financial knowledge. This innovative approach won the "Excellence in Social Welfare Award."
