The "2024 Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA)" organized by the Asian Chamber of Commerce held its award ceremony on September 13. Shin Kong Life Insurance, a subsidiary of Shin Kong Financial Holdings (2888), stood out among many companies and won the "Corporate Excellence Award" for the first time. This shows that Shin Kong Life Insurance has continuously used insurance technology to build its innovative DNA, deepen its core service values, cultivate employees' independent digital capabilities, and integrate fair treatment and sustainable development concepts into its corporate spirit. The results have been recognized internationally.

The theme of the 2024 Asia Pacific Outstanding Enterprise Awards is "Towards Diversity, Building Inclusion, Mutual Benefit and Win-Win", hoping to recognize visionary business leaders and companies. The "Excellence in Corporate Governance Award" is also well-known in the Asia-Pacific business field, with past winners spread across 16 countries and markets.


In recent years, Shin Kong Life Insurance has actively promoted fair treatment and digital inclusion, holding financial friendliness and digital literacy seminars for new immigrants. To raise awareness of the risks associated with frequent fraud cases, the seminars detailed common financial fraud tactics, including scam calls, fraudulent text messages, and insurance scams. They also reminded consumers that investment products combine insurance and investment functions, offering dual benefits, but consumers should exercise caution and carefully assess investment risks. The event also showcased the day's financial knowledge sharing through an interactive quiz game and included a gift card for the highly acclaimed WhosCall premium version, allowing users to experience the free feature of identifying unknown calls and automatically blocking high-frequency fraud and harassing calls, enhancing their personal protection.


In addition, Shin Kong Life Insurance has taken the lead in establishing a fast and convenient multi-digital identity verification mechanism. After launching the FIDO digital authentication service last year, it has further expanded its service to "Mobile The "First" concept optimizes the UI/UX of the member area and is the first in the industry to introduce NFC sensing technology, allowing customers to scan their chip-based financial cards directly with their phones for a single identity verification, allowing them to easily access digital insurance services, including policy loan applications, partial redemptions (withdrawals) of investment policies, policy details changes, and credit card expiration changes, further enhancing user experience and transaction security. The company also creates a barrier-free digital experience for the elderly and those with low vision. For example, we discovered that people with low vision find it difficult to log in to the member website using the graphical verification code. Therefore, we have added voice guidance for the graphical verification code. We have also introduced a keyboard tab to move to the next field and the ENTER key to log in, replacing the manual login button. This is designed to cater to the keyboard-based habits of the visually impaired, making it easier for them to use. It is estimated that over 600,000 users will benefit annually.
