Shin Kong Life Partners with Lunghwa University for Industry-Academia Cooperation, Pioneering a New Paradigm in AI Talent Cultivation for the Life Insurance Industry
Facing the rapid development of generative AI, the financial and insurance industry is accelerating its digital transformation. Shin Kong Life, a subsidiary of TS Holdings (2887), and Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (Lunghwa UST) held an industry-academia cooperation signing ceremony and corporate visit on March 30, officially announcing the launch of the "AI Instructor Industry-Academia Cooperation Project." Through an innovative model of "students stepping into enterprises, AI stepping into branch offices" and combining insurance expertise with Lunghwa UST's Department of Digital Marketing and Cross-Border Commerce, the two parties will jointly promote the practical application of AI in life insurance operations. This aims to cultivate life insurance talents equipped with digital literacy, industry understanding, and practical execution capabilities.
To cultivate cross-disciplinary talents needed in the digital age, Shin Kong Life partnered with Lunghwa UST's Department of Digital Marketing and Cross-Border Commerce last year through the Ministry of Labor's "Enterprise Human Resources Enhancement Plan" to collaborate on AI talent cultivation and practical applications. This continuously promoted AI-enabled talent cultivation and field exchange experiences, gradually establishing a connection of enterprise, academic, and government resources. Recently, Shin Kong Life and Lunghwa UST also held a kickoff meeting regarding their cooperation framework, execution rhythm, branch office introduction planning, and expected outcomes, building a consensus for the promotion of this "AI Instructor Industry-Academia Cooperation Project" and laying a solid foundation for cooperation.
Shin Kong Life stated, "AI will not replace life insurance agents, but life insurance agents who use AI will be more competitive." Through cooperation with Lunghwa UST, the company hopes to bring AI from the classroom into the business field and from learning to practice, cultivating future-ready life insurance talents closer to market demands. This will help frontline business partners become more efficient in solicitation, recruitment, communication, and business promotion. In the future, the partnership also looks forward to gradually establishing a sustainable and replicable AI-enabled model, opening up new opportunities for life insurance talent cultivation and business innovation.
This industry-academia cooperation project will select 30 students from Lunghwa UST who possess AI application skills and presentation techniques to enter various Shin Kong Life branch offices. They will share and exchange AI tool applications, helping business personnel move from "knowing AI" to "using AI proficiently," further enhancing digital marketing and planning production efficiency, and allowing them to devote more energy to client management and service. At the same time, students entering the corporate field helps establish a talent transition mechanism, deepening the bridge from campus to the workplace. This not only allows students to understand the life insurance industry and career development earlier, but also further guides them in insurance license training and expands future employment opportunities, demonstrating the enterprise's forward-looking layout in digital transformation and talent cultivation.
In addition to the industry-academia cooperation signing ceremony, to deepen the transition bridge from campus to the workplace, Shin Kong Life also arranged for Lunghwa UST students to conduct a corporate visit prior to their internships. Through corporate introductions, practical discussions, and observational exchanges, students were able to further understand the operation models, talent demands, and future career development directions of the life insurance industry. They could also experience corporate culture early and familiarize themselves with the workplace environment, ensuring students adjust their mindset and make full preparations for their upcoming internships.
Upholding the ESG sustainable management philosophy, Shin Kong Life has long valued youth cultivation and cross-disciplinary talent development, hoping to help students strengthen practical experience in the insurance industry to achieve a win-win outcome for both enterprises and schools. Lunghwa UST has long cultivated deep roots in industry-academia cooperation. This year, in addition to winning first place among private technical colleges and universities in Global Views Magazine's "2026 Enterprise's Favorite University Students and Interns Survey," it was also ranked 4th nationwide in Cheers Magazine's "2026 University Performance Mutual Evaluation." Moving forward, the cooperation between the two sides will gradually expand AI application fields and develop a more systematic "AI Life Insurance Training Module." Shin Kong Life will continue to take talent cultivation as its core and AI empowerment as its engine, building a more resilient and forward-looking new paradigm for life insurance talent development through deep cooperation between enterprises and academia.
