Deepening Digital Services and Implementing Inclusive Finance: Shin Kong Life Wins Three Major Awards at the Excellence in Insurance Evaluation

The "2025 Excellence in Insurance Evaluation," hosted by Excellence Magazine, held its award ceremony on October 2. Shin Kong Life, a subsidiary of TS Holdings (2887), relying on its core philosophy of putting the customer first, has continued to deepen digital innovation and the application of insurtech. In one fell swoop, it won three major accolades: the "Excellence in Service Quality Award," "Excellence in Claims Service Award," and "Excellence in Digital Finance Award." This demonstrates that Shin Kong Life's efforts in digital transformation and customer experience are not only highly recognized by the public and experts across various fields but also showcase the company's determination and achievements in implementing inclusive finance.

With digital transformation as its core strategy, Shin Kong Life successfully launched four smart service projects last year: "Virtual Counter Service," "Mobile Payment," "SMS Short Code 68288," and the "Intelligent Administrative Legal System." The "Virtual Counter Service" utilizes a remote video mechanism, allowing policyholders to complete applications without visiting a physical counter, thereby enhancing service accessibility and process efficiency. "Mobile Payment" provides diverse payment platforms for instant payment completion while strengthening information security, responding to policyholders' needs for convenience and safety. "SMS Short Code 68288" is an exclusive official short code featuring unique and tamper-proof characteristics, which effectively prevents phishing text messages and fake links, reduces fraud risks, and increases policyholder trust.

Simultaneously, the "Intelligent Administrative Legal System" integrates new-generation Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies into an innovative solution. It quickly and accurately converts various paper or electronic documents into editable digital text, successfully consolidating debtor policy information, revolutionizing traditional administrative legal processes, and reshaping the legal deduction business model. These four projects balance service convenience and immediacy while sparing no effort in implementing the fair treatment of customers and fraud prevention. They fully reflect Shin Kong Life's integration capabilities in system design and technological application, thereby earning the "Excellence in Service Quality Award."

In terms of claims services, Shin Kong Life upholds the spirit of being "customer first, swift and warm, professional and honest." Internally, it continues to strengthen talent training; externally, it deepens digital services to create a more transparent, efficient, and warm claims experience. By utilizing technology for fraud prevention and talent cultivation as dual engines to create a new paradigm for claims services, it successfully secured the "Excellence in Claims Service Award." Last year, Shin Kong Life also responded to the FSC's "Fraud Prevention and Financial Crime" fintech policy by partnering with the National Institute of Cyber Security (NICS), technology partners, and life insurance peers to successfully build the life insurance industry's first cross-institutional claims fraud pattern joint model. This initiative was exhibited at the Fintech Taipei exhibition and received high recognition from the competent authority.

Addressing cumbersome insurance business processes and information gaps, Shin Kong Life used technological innovation as an engine to launch the "Intelligent Policy Checkup System." The system features a built-in protection analysis engine that can quickly generate planning proposals, utilizing a modular design to present nine major protection categories and simplify information communication. The simultaneously launched "Key Protection Card" precisely designs coverage items according to life stages, assisting customers in identifying risk gaps and enhancing their decision-making power regarding protection. The youth segment focuses on accident and medical coverage, the middle-aged segment emphasizes critical illness and retirement planning, and the senior segment primarily focuses on long-term care and surgical coverage, reflecting Shin Kong Life's deep insight into customer needs.

In light of the government's increasing emphasis on digital financial equality, Shin Kong Life has also demonstrated a high degree of social responsibility. For the visually impaired community, the official APP underwent four major optimizations, including the addition of alternative text, adjustments to operational logic, rearrangement of read-aloud sequences, and the integration of cross-platform voice assistive tools to create a smoother, barrier-free experience. The 2025 online insurance website revamp comprehensively introduced Responsive Web Design (RWD) and strengthened semantic structure, color contrast, and keyboard operation logic, implementing the concept of "usable by everyone." Furthermore, the website's UI/UX design takes "warmth, intuitiveness, and accessibility" as its core, introducing illustration styles and an insurance education zone to enhance user interaction quality, resulting in the excellent achievement of the "Excellence in Digital Finance Award."

Shin Kong Life has long been committed to ESG sustainable management and continues to focus on the protection needs of the younger demographic. Recently, it partnered with e-Insure to launch the "e-Qi Jin Ping An Accident Insurance," creating affordable insurance options for the younger generation. Looking ahead, Shin Kong Life will continue to start from the customer's perspective and develop digital innovative technologies to enhance service quality and efficiency, leading the insurance industry toward a more friendly environment.
