Shin Kong Life Wins "Excellence" at the Golden Safety Awards for Outstanding Engineering, Demonstrating Outstanding Performance in Promoting Urban Construction and Implementing Sustainable Development

The award ceremony for the "19th Excellent Engineering Golden Safety Awards 2025," hosted by the Ministry of Labor, was held recently. Shin Kong Life, a subsidiary of TS Holdings (2887), won the "Excellence" accolade in the Private Engineering Category for its "Taipei City Nangang Transfer Station Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) New Construction Project." Shin Kong Life's Real Estate Division Vice President, Chen Chih-kuei, attended on behalf of the company and accepted the award alongside the construction contractor, Fong Yu Joint Engineering. This demonstrates Shin Kong Life's outstanding achievements in engineering occupational safety and health management, as well as its promotion of sustainable architecture.

Shin Kong Life's "Taipei City Nangang Transfer Station BOT New Construction Project" consists of 19 floors above ground and 4 floors underground, with a total floor area of 16,788 ping. The project site is adjacent to the three-rail co-constructed facilities of the Taiwan Railways (TRA), Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR), and MRT. During the design phase, special emphasis was placed on assessing the safety and stability of the chosen construction methods. Ultimately, the higher-cost but highly safe top-down construction method was adopted to enhance safety during the construction of the underground structure, reduce the impact on the surrounding environment and traffic flow in the construction zone, and balance environmental sustainable development. The "Golden Safety Award" is the most indicative safety and health award in Taiwan's engineering field. The evaluation covers multiple professional indicators, including site safety and health management, risk assessment, technology introduction during the construction phase, and the operation of occupational safety systems. The number of participating entries this year reached a record high. After rigorous on-site evaluations, Shin Kong Life received the "Excellence" recognition, demonstrating a high level of safety management and innovative practical capabilities, and serving as an important model for promoting a safety culture in Taiwan's construction industry.

This year marks the inaugural year of TS Holdings. Standing at this brand-new starting point, Shin Kong Life embraces the group's corporate spirit of "Earnestness, Innovation, and Sustainability" and is committed to fulfilling its "Green Operations" strategy. Looking ahead, it will continue to implement ESG principles and stride toward the vision of green and sustainable management. This demonstrates that beyond its core financial business, Shin Kong Life utilizes its professionalism and foresight to continuously promote urban construction and lead the green transition with determination and proactive actions, ensuring that corporate growth and urban progress move forward hand in hand.
