To strengthen the customer-friendly service process and create a cross-community inclusive environment, Shin Kong Life, a subsidiary of TS Holdings (2887), specially planned the "Understanding the Transgender Community and Service Optimization Course" on the Transgender Day of Remembrance. Experts from the Taiwan Tongzhi (LGBTQ+) Hotline Association were invited to teach, and Independent Director Ho Hung-neng personally accompanied frontline service colleagues to participate in the seminar. This assists colleagues in building consistent services for transgender customers, driving the enterprise to implement the spirit of inclusive finance from the height of corporate governance, and symbolizing that Shin Kong Life views transgender-friendliness as an important commitment to corporate sustainability.

November 20 of each year is the "Transgender Day of Remembrance," aiming to memorialize victims who lost their lives to anti-transgender hatred and violence, and to arouse public awareness of the discrimination and violence faced by transgender individuals. Shin Kong Life stated that the essence of insurance is to provide protection for every life. It recognizes that the institutional differences, data discrepancies, or coping difficulties that diverse groups may face during the financial service process could cause coverage interruptions, application blockages, or service misunderstandings. As a pioneer in promoting inclusive finance, Shin Kong Life is absolutely duty-bound. It will comprehensively upgrade from organizational culture to service processes, leading the life insurance industry to jointly create a more inclusive customer service environment.

This collaborative course focused on three main axes: "Understanding Basic Transgender Concepts," "Challenges for Transgender Individuals in Life, the Workplace, Medical Care, and Financial Services," and "Empathetic Responses and Friendly Action Skills." Through situational stories, institutional cases, and practical scenarios, the lecturers guided colleagues to enhance their sensitivity and professional response capabilities. During the process, transgender individuals were also invited to share the difficulties they have encountered growing up, allowing colleagues to deeply understand the various pressures and challenges the transgender community faces in life. This course not only sets a precedent in the life insurance industry for education centered on transgender customers but also symbolizes a crucial step for financial services toward diversity and inclusion. It helps colleagues understand customer needs more comprehensively, demonstrating the core value of "professionalism running parallel with warmth."

Shin Kong Life emphasized that true financial friendliness means reflecting "respect and equality" from frontline reception processes and internal rule reviews to information system design. In financial services, the transgender community often encounters difficult situations such as identity recognition, gender fields on ID documents, medical histories, or the need to confide. Therefore, enterprises must possess clear operational guidelines and correct service concepts when facing differences.

Looking ahead, Shin Kong Life will continue to take inclusive finance as its strategic axis and continuously promote friendly services for different groups, including transgender individuals, seniors, rural customers, and disadvantaged families. It aims to lead the industry toward a more inclusive and sustainable future, continuously enhancing the accessibility and fairness of insurance services. Echoing the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the company is striding toward becoming a benchmark enterprise in sustainable management.
