Taiwan's diverse ethnic groups and rich cultural heritage provide a strong foundation for integrating cultural development into the nation's sustainable development practices. In response to this, Shin Kong Life, a subsidiary of Shin Kong Financial Holdings (2888), and the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) held the "Corporate × Culture Co-creation Social Impact Cooperation Press Conference". During this event, they jointly signed the "Cultural Hospitality and Inclusive Finance Cooperation Memorandum", with Shin Kong Life committing to adhering to the ESG for Culture principles. This initiative aims to promote cross-cultural exchange and understanding, build a harmonious and inclusive social environment by combining cultural content with inclusive finance and social welfare.

Since 2023, Shin Kong Life has been collaborating with TAICCA to advocate the "CSB" (Cultural Content, Social Impact, Corporate Value) concept, initiating a series of culturally impactful projects. "New Life for Old Clothes, Light up the World", conducted in partnership with the Syin-Lu Foundation and zero-waste fashion brand Story Wear. This project involves collecting second-hand jeans for upcycling, creating job opportunities for underprivileged groups. The upcycled products are used for charity fundraising, providing basic micro-insurance coverage for disadvantaged families. Additionally, Shin Kong Life, in collaboration with social enterprise Re-U, developed the "Wealth Guardians" board game course. This interactive game promotes financial education in a simple and engaging manner, targeting elementary schools in rural areas. The innovative design of this course was internationally recognized with the 2023 Good Design Award from Japan.

Through these innovative cooperation models, Shin Kong Life has demonstrated its commitment to promoting inclusive finance and social welfare while exploring the potential for diverse collaborations between the financial insurance industry and cultural content. In 2024, Shin Kong Life plans to continue its partnerships with Story Wear and the Syin-Lu Foundation, working towards a sustainable cycle of corporate, cultural, and social forces. They also aim to empower individuals with disabilities by training them as instructors for the Wealth Guardians course, providing insurance agent certification resources to help them acquire professional skills and employment opportunities. Moreover, they will design the "Financial Shield Guardians" board game for high school and college students, enhancing their financial risk resilience and contributing to a healthy and equitable financial ecosystem, thereby implementing sustainable corporate practices.

ESG sustainable development is an international trend, and financial institutions play a crucial role in this regard. Moving forward, Shin Kong Life will follow its parent company Shin Kong Financial Holdings' sustainable strategy of "Innovation, Low Carbon, Common Good", echoing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They will actively collaborate with TAICCA to promote the sustainable development of Taiwan's cultural industry, practice inclusive finance, expand social impact, and embody the corporate spirit of "Our light and heart are always with you".
