Shin Kong Life Promotes the "Yushan Project," Becoming a Piece of Students' Dream Puzzles

Shin Kong Life, a subsidiary of TS Holdings (2887), has long accompanied students in their adaptive growth, holding various activities to encourage the new generation to make diverse attempts and unleash their different talents and abilities. To broaden the career horizons of rural children and help them explore their own traits and specialties, this year it once again partnered with Aleees and Dale Carnegie Training to jointly promote the "Yushan Project." In collaboration with local governments, the project provides courses on career exploration, leadership training, and workplace experiences for students from disadvantaged families, rural areas, and rehabilitated youths. It also expanded its invitation to include winners of the Presidential Education Award, students who strive for excellence despite adversity, allowing them to learn from one another through interactive courses.

A total of 111 students participated in the Yushan Project this year. Through a dual-track approach featuring a 9-day, 8-night "Dale Carnegie Youth Training Course" alongside a "Corporate Workplace Experience," they built proactive, positive attitudes toward life and broad career visions, further strengthening their adaptability and interpersonal skills. In addition to learning about academics, arts, and practical abilities, they also received excellent moral education. Furthermore, Shin Kong Life arranged for the participants to stay at the Shin Kong Jasper Villa Xinban throughout the entire program and provided classrooms in the Xinban Financial Building as the teaching venue, hoping that the excellent accommodation quality and learning environment would enhance the students' learning efficiency.

As a strategic partner of the Yushan Project, Shin Kong Life divided the workplace experience into two parts: building foundational knowledge and envisioning future careers. First, integrating the core value of insurance, it established a basic concept of risk protection for the students. By introducing simple insurance concepts through interactive board games, students learned how insurance provides individuals with risk resilience. At the same time, they learned practical anti-fraud life knowledge, such as not handing over cash or personal information to others, making up for the lack of financial education in areas with relatively scarce learning resources.

Second, it utilized abundant corporate resources to expand participants' imaginations about the future. Research shows that children's understanding of professions mostly comes from their parents' work; therefore, students with limited learning resources often have quite restricted imaginations regarding their future careers. Shin Kong Life arranged for participants to experience multi-faceted departmental work, including customer service, policy sales, and personnel training. Through these experiences, students realized that insurance companies offer many professions they had never encountered or known about. Perhaps among these roles are positions that suit their own talents, hoping to inspire their future career planning.

To enrich the course content, Shin Kong Life Chairman Wei Pao-sheng personally sponsored the Yushan Project students to visit the National Palace Museum's special exhibition, "From Impressionism to Modernism: Masterpieces from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York." This exhibition marked the first time the MET brought its important collections to Taiwan, featuring classic masterpieces by 38 artists. Through professional guided tours and an immersive exhibition experience, students could appreciate these art masterpieces up close, inspiring their aesthetic literacy and cultural vision.

Insurance is a highly socially significant business that builds "warmth between people." Participating in the Yushan Project for the second time, Shin Kong Life launched this youth project of hope. It not only aims to be a piece of the puzzle for students' future dreams but also hopes the children feel society's care and the spirit of mutual assistance. Empowered with more confidence for the future, it is hoped that this warmth will be continuously passed on in every future interaction.
