Shin Kong Life, a subsidiary of TS Holdings (2887), has long cared for socially disadvantaged groups and is committed to continuously extending the reach of its public welfare efforts. This year, it continued to cooperate with the Miaoli County Government to provide "Group Micro Injury Insurance," offering stable protection for over 7,000 county residents. In addition, Shin Kong Life has responded to the "Miaoli Pear Feast Festival" for nine consecutive years by providing the Shin Kong Life Tower plaza space free of charge to help local high-quality farmers market their agricultural specialties. Last year, sales exceeded NT$1 million, realizing the enterprise's long-standing philosophy of advocating friendly agriculture and promoting sustainable diets.

Microinsurance is an important part of solving the problems of the economically disadvantaged. Since 2018, Shin Kong Life has taken the lead in sponsoring low-income and lower-middle-income households in Miaoli County to enroll in "Group Micro Injury Insurance." Starting in 2020, it fully insured all "individuals with intellectual disabilities"—the first major category of physical and mental disabilities—aged 15 to 70 in the county. In 2022, it further expanded coverage to "applicants from families facing special circumstances." The Miaoli County Government specially held the "Miaoli County Disadvantaged Families Microinsurance Donation Ceremony" on August 29, where County Magistrate Chung Tung-chin presented a certificate of appreciation, which was received by Kuo Han-yang, Head of Shin Kong Life's Xinmiao Regional Department, on behalf of the company.

Shin Kong Life has long responded to government policies to promote microinsurance. This year, it continued to provide group microinsurance renewals for low-income and lower-middle-income households, disadvantaged children and youths, single parents, families in hardship, and individuals with disabilities in counties and cities including Hsinchu, Chiayi, Miaoli, Yunlin, and Keelung. Through microinsurance, it also provides care and protection for crime victims and their families, as well as junior high and high school girls who have lost their support due to weak family functions. In May, it newly added coverage for nearly 10,000 applicants registered in Kaohsiung City, aged 15 to under 65, who are low-income, lower-middle-income, recipients of living subsidies for physical and mental disabilities (mild to moderate), or recipients of living subsidies for children of disadvantaged single-parent families. It expects to use corporate strength to help more economically disadvantaged people obtain the most basic economic support. Since its launch in 2014, cumulative premium sponsorships have reached nearly NT$70 million.

At the same time, Shin Kong Life actively implements ESG sustainable actions. Not only does it spare no effort in promoting microinsurance, but in recent years, it has also actively promoted organic and friendly farming, extending the concept of green public welfare and striving to become the warmest backup for Taiwan's agriculture. Since the establishment of the Shin Kong Small Farmer Market in 2017, the company has provided the Shin Kong Life Tower plaza free of charge to the Miaoli County Government for exhibitions and sales every September during the pear harvest season. This year, the "Miaoli Pear Feast Festival - Dahu Premium Pear Season" is scheduled to be held from September 3 to September 4. With the government ensuring safety, Miaoli County's specialty products are recommended to consumers. This is expected to create more income for farmers, allowing the public to taste the freshest and healthiest fruits and vegetables while experiencing the warm hospitality and pure, rich human touch of the local Hakka people.
