Shin Kong Life Wins the "2025 Wealth Magazine Financial Awards": Demonstrating Results in Implementing Inclusive Finance Through Digital Innovation
With driving digital transformation as its core, Shin Kong Life, a subsidiary of TS Holdings (2887), continues to introduce innovative technologies and a people-oriented customer service philosophy. Recently, it won the Gold Award in the Insurance Category for the Intelligent Innovation Application Award at the "2025 Wealth Magazine Financial Awards." Vice President Tsai Wen-ying received the award on behalf of the company, showcasing Shin Kong Life's outstanding achievements in intelligent innovation and customer experience optimization.
After revamping and launching its "Smart Customer Service" in 2024, Shin Kong Life has continued to expand in this area, reaching 1.45 million service interactions for the year with a high satisfaction rate of 90.1%. The new system focuses on implementing digital equality, emphasizing a barrier-free user experience, optimized interface design, and enhanced system compatibility. Not only is it the only smart customer service system in the insurance industry to obtain the "Web Accessibility AA Mark," but it also provides real-time guidance for various AI innovative services, such as the "Medical Claims e-Service" and FIDO authentication, thereby helping customers quickly understand insurance information.
Meanwhile, with "Shin Kong e-Travel," Shin Kong Life became the first insurance company to allow customers to complete their travel insurance declarations and consent for enrollment through a dedicated webpage, redefining the digital experience of the insurance application process. Combined with the existing "fully paperless mobile insurance application" service, it realizes a fully digitalized connection throughout the entire process—from application and underwriting to notification—marking an important milestone in the implementation of insurtech.
To provide customers with more diversified services, Shin Kong Life established the "Virtual Counter" service in 2025. This allows customers to complete services such as policy changes via online booking and video conferencing without having to visit a physical branch, saving them time and money. To strengthen offline counters, Shin Kong Life also introduced digital signature pads and dual-screen interactive features, enabling service staff to assist customers in clearly identifying the content to be signed using magnified displays and color prompts, thus improving efficiency and safeguarding customer rights. In addition, Shin Kong Life continues to promote barrier-free website optimization and green financial services. This year, the online insurance platform, centered on a "warm, intuitive, and accessible" design, also achieved barrier-free digital services, earning the AA-level mark certification from the National Communications Commission (NCC).
In terms of fraud prevention services, the system proactively triggers a care reminder when elderly customers process policy cancellations or loans, helping to identify fraud risks. To date, the company has provided care to elderly customers 168,000 times and to customers with disabilities 4,241 times, successfully blocking fraud attempts amounting to NT$8.6 million. This demonstrates the company's determination and achievements in protecting customers' assets and security. Looking ahead, Shin Kong Life promises to continue enhancing service quality through technological innovation, promoting inclusive finance and sustainable development, and providing customers with a secure, convenient, and friendly digital insurance experience.
