Shin Kong Life Insurance Wins the InsurTech of the Year Award at the Asia Insurance Industry Awards Earning International Recognition for Its Digital Innovation

The Insurance Asia Awards, organized by Charlton Media Group, a professional financial media group in the Asia-Pacific region, celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. The awards ceremony was held in Singapore on July 8th. Shin Kong Life Insurance won the "InsurTech of the Year" award for its "Smart Policy Health Check System," highlighting Shin Kong Life's efforts in leveraging InsurTech to build a social safety net and protect policyholders against personal risks.


Shin Kong Life Insurance's "Smart Policy Health Check System" combines optical character recognition (OCR) and natural language processing (NLP) technologies to help sales representatives quickly convert a customer's various policies into digital format. Using a coverage analysis engine, it instantly generates structured health check reports, categorizing policy terms into nine key coverage categories, including accident, cancer, and hospitalization. This accurately identifies customer protection gaps, allowing for timely policy optimization and personal risk management. To date, the system has generated over 2.99 million policy health check reports, reaching over 2.97 million users.


Different stages of life face different risks and require different protection. For this reason, in addition to launching the "Smart Policy Health Diagnosis System" to diagnose protection gaps for customers, Shin Kong Life Insurance has further launched the "Key Protection Card" function to assist sales staff in proposing the most appropriate protection configuration for customers at different stages of life.
