Shin Kong Life Football Supports Taiwan Football and Creates a Healthy Promotional Environment

Shin Kong Life has long been a supporter of sports. On January 28th, the "2024 BE HEROES Shin Kong Life Football Elite Challenge" was held at the National Taiwan University Football Field in Taipei. The event featured elite and senior challenges to support grassroots football talent development in Taiwan and provide a high-quality competitive environment for seniors who love football, promoting an active and healthy aging society.

In its 6th year, the BE HEROES Football Development Program, initiated by Shin Kong Life Chairman Mark Wei, Chairman of Exhibit International Enterprise Zhang Xianming, and Taiwan Men's National Team Captain Chen Baoliang, established the "Chen Baoliang Public Welfare Trust Football Education Fund." The goal is to cultivate grassroots football talent in Taiwan, contribute to Taiwan's football scene, and encourage Taiwanese elite football players to bravely pursue their dreams.

The elite challenge featured high school talents who underwent training at the BE HEROES Elite Academy. Teams representing Beimen High School, New Taipei High School, Hualien Agriculture and Commerce Vocational High School, and Huiwen High School faced off against Taipei City's senior football team in intense matches. The skillful play, fighting spirit, and determination showcased the hope for Taiwanese football. The senior challenge brought together senior players from Shin Kong Life, including executives, colleagues, and policyholders from across Taiwan, demonstrating the spirit of playing and staying active in older age, promoting vibrant elderly living, and creating a healthy environment.

During the event, a penalty shootout was held, inviting football enthusiasts such as Shin Kong Financial Holdings CEO Chen En-Guang, Shin Kong Life Chairman Mark Wei, who has been playing football since the age of 10, CEO Huang Min-Yi, former captain of the Chinese national football team and Shin Kong Life colleague Wu Zhaoxing, and Lydia AI Founder & CEO Lee Chun-Yi. Each successful penalty kick resulted in a donation of 10,000, while those who missed donated 20,000. The accumulated donations will go entirely to the Chen Baoliang Public Welfare Trust Fund to continue supporting grassroots football in Taiwan.

Adhering to the brand philosophy of "Light is everywhere, and our hearts are with you," Shin Kong Life has been a long-term supporter of various sports activities, sponsoring well-known events such as skyscraper climbing races, national hiking events, and the Shin Kong Cup street dance competition. The company has also sponsored multiple promising teams nationwide, including the "Chinatrust Brothers" in the Chinese Professional Baseball League and the Kaohsiung Yochan Elementary School football team, receiving recognition as a sports enterprise and sports promoter.

Anticipating Taiwan's entry into the super-aging society in 2025, Shin Kong Life actively promotes the concept of healthy aging, striving to create a health-promoting environment. The company introduces overflow insurance policies with premium discounts, increased coverage, or cashback options to encourage people to adopt regular exercise and healthy lifestyles, ultimately reducing illness rates and policyholders' premium expenditures. In collaboration with Canadian health tech company Lydia AI, Shin Kong Life provides consumers with the "AI Good Age" app for self-managed health using diverse personal health data and AI analysis. This initiative helps consumers understand their health, assess risks, and plan for both physical and financial well-being in the future.

Moreover, Shin Kong Life extends its efforts to rural areas, collaborating with the Digital Humanitarian Association since 2022. Together, they have been supporting a remote health promotion charity program, providing online health courses and professional medical consultations for elderly residents in rural areas through digital tools. This initiative aims to help prevent diseases and delay disabilities, demonstrating tangible results. The remote service locations have expanded from four to six, further safeguarding the health and safety of elderly residents in remote areas.
